My family and I love this library and have been coming here for years. The combination of taking a walk around the riparian preserve located here, getting out into nature, and then being able to step inside and exercise our brains is a potent combination.
The librarians are incredibly helpful in resolving issues and I am grateful for the work they do.
Checking out books is an excellent forcing function to have an excuse to return them, get in another walk, and repeat the process.
We’ve come after dark before and been able to view distant galaxies through the telescope that resides here as well.
Parents BEWARE if you check out books from this location. I’m am irate with this library location and will not be returning to check out any books in the future. My husband just returned a child’s book that cost 3.99 retail. The librarian claimed that my child caused water damage to the book and fined us 8.99 for the book. I am 100% certain that my child did not cause any damage to this book, and furthermore I don’t see any damage to begin with (See pictures below). It’s a flimsy paper copy of a childrens book that has been checked out numerous times before, and perhaps got bent a little bit. Im speechless at this point. We will not be back!
Cute little library with a great park right next door!!. Really amazing birding area and walking trails next-door to the east. Lots of parking. This area is usually somewhat busy. I would go here again and I would recommend it to friends and family.
People don’t know proper library etiquette. People talking loudly, and screaming children ruin this beautiful library. Maybe large signs throughout stating library etiquette would be helpful since common sense isn’t very common apparently.
-Also the wifi hasn’t really been working the last few times I’ve been here in January 2024.
-The chairs by the windows are comfortable and match the style of the library, however they have been here for many years and look old and stained now…could do with some reupholstering/replacing with. I don’t think shampooing them is gonna cut it (if they even clean them), they have been here for many years 🤢
I’m a college student and I do my best to study here often. However, when parents don’t control their kids or even themselves, this place seems less like a beautiful library with a beautiful riparian preserve right outside and sounds more like a daycare. I wish library staff would manage noise better to be inclusive for myself and others as opposed to giving in parents who don’t want to manage their children. The library is a place conducive for learning, not playing and screaming.
I love this library. It’s so big and clean and modern. I love being able to put all my items on the check out and it scans them all at once. The views out the window are so calming and pretty.
I usually love this library and love the riparian reserve to walk around, but it is absolutely freezing in the library. Our feet / toes are numb , goosebumps, it’s freezing outside and the AC is blasting. I’m visiting from Alaska and I’m literally freezing. I asked them to not even turn on the heat but to just stop blaring the AC, they said no. I called corporate and the same. It made it impossible to sit and read and enjoy the area. So sad :(
Great, large library and right next to a nature preserve. Beautiful area to walk, find painted rocks, and absorb nature! Kid and family friendly!
